Recipe vegan jackfruit burgers




(For 2 people)

1 can of jackfruit (565 grams Fairtrade original)

2 spelled buns

1 avocado

1 lime

1 clove of garlic

1 large beef tomato

A handful of fresh spinach

Olive oil

Pinch of salt


2 tablespoons maple syrup

2 teaspoons smoked paprika powder

4 tablespoons soy sauce


1. Rinse the jackfruit in a colander.

2. Place the jackfruit on a cutting board, cut off the hard ends and discard them. Then loosen the jackfruit a bit with your hands, so that there are threads.

3. Marinate the jackfruit for 30 minutes in soy sauce, maple syrup, and smoked paprika powder. Mix well.

4. Finely chop the garlic and slice the tomato.

5. Place the avocado in a bowl and gently flatten it with a fork. Add the lime juice, garlic, and salt and stir to combine.

6. Add a splash of olive oil to a pan and sauté the jackfruit for 3-5 minutes over high heat.

7. Top each sandwich with guacamole, jackfruit, tomato and spinach.
