Healthy snack: roasted chickpeas-vegan

Chickpeas, the perfect legume for making hummus or as an ingredient in a salad. But did you know that these yellow peas also do perfectly as a snack? Therefore, this healthy snack: 2x roasted chickpeas. Marinate them with herbs, roast them in the oven and your healthy snack is ready! For those with a sweet tooth, we roasted the chickpeas with honey and cinnamon. For those who prefer something savory, the spicy version is the way to go. Alright, get to work on these delicious snacks!

Spicy roasted chickpeas

One takes (for a bowl):

– 200 g chickpeas

– 1 tsp paprika powder

– pinch of chili powder

How to do it:

– Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

– Drain the chickpeas.

– Mix the chickpeas with a tablespoon of olive oil, chili powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt. Then spread them out on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

– Roast them in the oven for 30 minutes, then flip them over and leave the chickpeas in the oven for another 10 minutes.

– That’s it!

Sweet roasted chickpeas

One takes (for one dish):

– 200 g chickpeas

– 2 tsp honey

– 2 tsp cinnamon

– pinch of nutmeg

– 1 tbsp coconut oil

How to do it:

– Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

– Drain the chickpeas.

– Spread the chickpeas on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the oven for 30 minutes.

– Meanwhile, make a mixture of honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and coconut oil.

– After 30 minutes, remove the chickpeas from the oven and stir in the mixture. You put this in the oven for another 10 minutes.

– Your crunchy, sweet snack is ready. Enjoy!

TIP: if you store the roasted chickpeas in a sealed container, they will stay tasty for at least 5 days. A perfect snack to take outside!
