RECIPE VEGAN PIZZA WITH BUFFALO SAUCE AND CHICKPEAS

Ingredients

For the bottom:

1 (gluten-free) pizza crust


For the Buffalo sauce:

3 tbsp hot sauce

1.5 tbsp Sriracha hot sauce

2 tbsp olive oil

425 gr canned chickpeas

For the white sauce:

120 gr ground cashew

185 ml almond milk

2 tbsp flour

2/3 tsp salt

1 tbsp olive oil

A generous pinch of black pepper


For the garlic sauce:

2/3 of the white sauce from this recipe

4 cloves roasted garlic or 1 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning mix

1 tsp yeast flakes

1 tsp cider vinegar


For the celery ranch sauce:

1/3 of the white sauce from this recipe

1/2 tsp ranch seasoning

1/2 tsp celery seeds

1/2 tsp cider vinegar

First, make the pizza dough according to the package or recipe. 

Now make the Buffalo chickpea sauce: mix together the hot sauce, sriracha, olive oil, and the chickpeas. Mash a few chickpeas and let them soak and marinate for a while while you prepare the sauce.

Make the white sauce: blend all ingredients until smooth.

Make the white garlic sauce: take about 2/3 of the white sauce and add the ingredients for the garlic sauce. 

Make the celery ranch sauce: mix together the ranch seasoning, celery seeds, and cider vinegar.

Form the pizza dough with thick edges so that the sauce does not run off the pizza during baking. Then brush some olive oil over the dough first, then drizzle enough garlic sauce over the dough to coat. Add spinach or other vegetables, if desired.

 

Make a chickpea layer over the vegetables and drizzle some Buffalo sauce from the marinade.

Then drizzle a generous amount of the celery ranch sauce.

Bake ± 14 minutes in a preheated oven at 220 ° C.

Use leftover garlic sauce or celery ranch sauce for serving.
