Szechuan chicken

 


Attention, absolute Far Eastern flavor explosion! And the best part? The sesame chicken is even suitable for everyday use with a preparation time of 30 minutes.


Ingredients

350 g chicken breast fillet
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp brown sugar
4 tbsp. soy sauce
1 red bell pepper
1 bunch of spring onions
1 piece (approx. 2 cm) fresh ginger
1 clove of garlic
4 tablespoons tomato ketchup
1 tsp. sambal oelek
1 tbsp. liquid honey
2 tbsp. fruit vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 tbsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp oil
   salt, pepper
5 stalk/s of coriander

Preparation
30 minutes very simple


1) Wash meat, pat dry and roughly dice. Add starch, sugar and soy sauce and mix everything well. Clean, wash and chop the bell bell pepper. Clean, wash and cut spring onions into rings. Peel and finely chop ginger and garlic. Mix ketchup, 5 tablespoons water, sambal oelek, honey, vinegar and sesame oil.


2) Toast sesame seeds in a hot pan without fat, remove. Heat oil in the pan. Sear meat vigorously in it and remove. Sauté vegetables, except for the green of the spring onions, ginger and garlic in the pan fat, turning. Deglaze with the ketchup sauce, add the meat, bring to the boil and simmer in the covered pan for about 4 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Wash coriander, shake dry, chop leaves coarsely. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, cilantro and spring onion greens. Serve with rice.
